Cottage Cheese and Pineapple Bowl

A bowl with more than 40 grams of protein plus calcium from cottage cheese — a strong one-two for muscle and bone in midlife.

It needs no cooking at all, so it is the fastest high-protein start in our plans.

Ingredients

  • 2% cottage cheese1 1/2 cups (340 g)
  • pineapple chunks1/2 cup (80 g)
  • chopped walnuts2 tbsp (14 g)

Directions

  1. 1

Scoop the cottage cheese into a bowl.

  2. 2

Spoon the pineapple chunks over the top.

  3. 3

Scatter the walnuts over the bowl and eat right away, or keep the fruit separate until serving.
